Imagine a “golden age of community” where we all work together to solve the problems we all face. A new golden era of community where the issues of the people dominate the work of government, civic talk around town and how we come together. An era where people do more than simply become citizens and vote, but rather one where we join together to chart a new course for California. ![]() In California there are over 2 million Latinos who have yet to register to vote and close to 3 million immigrants California eligible to become US Citizens. By becoming US Citizens and registering to vote it is possible to have millions of new voters over the next five years. For Latinos our registration numbers would jump to almost 25% of the electorate. More importantly the voice of everyday people would grow. Expanding the electorate among Latinos, and all working families would expand the voice of those in need of better and more secure jobs, health care for a healthy and long life, and affordable dream homes we can keep. These are real dreams of real people who need government to work again. For the reasons above SOL Committees (link to SOL Committees) exist in each County to bring people in the community to begin to identify changes we need in our community and to work together to address them. We feel we need to begin to help get America back on track, but first we need to expand include ourselves as voters so our voices are heard. |
