SOL Regional Committees
Through our SOL Regional Committees we bring together rank-and-file community members and labor leaders in order to train the next generation of campaign leads and coordinators. Our goal is to have civic participation trainings, voter registration drives, and citizenship workshops with our SOL committees in each of our areas in 2007.
SOL Committees enable us to:
- Create a pool of well-trained rank-and-file leads and coordinators that will run effective civic participation campaigns.
- Develop an active base that will engage the general community in civic participation throughout the year.
- Create a long-term locally based relationship between community groups and labor unions that will grow SOL's work.
- Develop a common progressive Latino communications strategy, which is used to promote our issues.
- Enable us to elect a progressive voting block.
